Read session details and splits

Session detail shows what happened during a run, including chart data, totals, pace or lap splits, data source, Kinni Cloud sync status, and available actions.

Open a completed session to review the run in detail. The Session Detail screen combines the session graph, headline stats, split tables, data source, Kinni Cloud sync status, and actions such as sharing, upload, FIT export, conversion, renaming, or deletion.

The chart area lets you switch between available metrics such as speed, pace, cadence, and heart rate. If the session includes elevation data, Kinni can overlay elevation gain on the graph.

The summary above the chart shows the best or highest value, plus the average for the selected metric.

The session summary shows the main recorded totals, including:

  • distance
  • time
  • average pace
  • steps
  • cadence
  • energy used
  • heart rate, when available

The Splits section breaks the session into smaller parts. You can view distance-based splits using your selected unit, or switch to the session’s recorded split structure when available.

Tap a split to inspect more detail for that section of the run.

The session overview includes Source so you can see where the session came from. A session recorded directly in Kinni can show Kinni. Sessions imported from health platforms can show Apple Health or Health Connect.

Source matters because sessions recorded outside Kinni may not include the same high-resolution treadmill records, split markers, or workout-structure data as a session started from Kinni. You can still review the core totals, but charts, splits, FIT export detail, or conversion to a workout may be more limited if the source did not provide enough data.

If the session is connected to Kinni Cloud, Session Detail can also show whether the item is queued, syncing, synced, pending deletion, or failed. Use this status to decide whether to wait, run Sync All, or check the sync screen for an error.

If Kinni says it cannot display breakdowns, the session does not have the high-resolution record data needed for charts and splits. This is more likely for imported or incomplete data than for sessions started directly from Kinni.
