Switch between Kinni accounts

Use this guide when you share a device or need to switch between stored Kinni accounts.

Kinni can store more than one signed-in account on the same device. Use Account Switcher when another stored profile should become the active profile for this device.

Each stored profile keeps its own sign-in session and profile-scoped app data on the device. Switching profiles should update the active account without asking you to uninstall Kinni or sign in again to an account that is already stored.

  1. Open Kinni.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Look under Profile.
  4. Tap Account Switcher.
  5. Choose the stored account you want to use.
  6. Tap Done when you are finished.

The Account Switcher row appears when Kinni has a signed-in account and stored account information available on the device. It shows the current username or email when available.

  1. Open SettingsProfileAccount Switcher.
  2. Tap Add account.
  3. Sign in with the other Kinni account.
  4. Return to Kinni when sign-in completes.

If the account was already stored on this device, Kinni switches to it. If it was not stored yet, Kinni adds it to the device and makes it the active profile.

  1. Open Account Switcher.
  2. Tap the stored profile you want to use.
  3. Wait for Kinni to return to the app with that profile active.

The current profile is marked in the list. Switching should not require closing and reopening Kinni manually.

You can remove an inactive stored profile from Account Switcher when the device is online.

  1. Open Account Switcher.
  2. Find the stored profile that is not marked as the current profile.
  3. Tap the delete icon.
  4. Confirm Remove.

Removing a stored profile only removes that saved session and profile-scoped local data from this device. It does not delete the Kinni account itself. To delete a Kinni account completely, use the account deletion option from the Kinni Account website.

If you need to leave the current profile, use Sign out from Profile instead. When another stored profile remains on the device, Kinni can fall back to a remaining profile; when no stored profile remains, Kinni returns to the signed-out account flow.

Use Account Switcher when:

  • multiple people use the same tablet or phone;
  • you test Kinni with more than one account;
  • you need to check which account is active before managing subscription, profile, beta, or linked-service settings.

Sign in to the missing account first by using Add account from Account Switcher. If the account still does not appear after sign-in, check that the device is online and that you signed in with the expected email address.
