Understand workout Focus

Use Focus labels such as Tempo, Hills, Speed, Recovery, Endurance, or Mixed to understand the purpose of a workout.

Focus helps you choose a workout for the kind of training you want to do, not just by title or distance. It gives each workout a simple training purpose so you can scan the Library faster.

Older support pages may call this a tag, but in the current app the user-facing label is Focus.

  • Tempo: sustained work near a comfortably hard pace.
  • Hills: incline or hill-style work for strength.
  • Speed: faster intervals for top-end speed and turnover.
  • Recovery: very easy running after harder work.
  • Endurance: longer steady work.
  • Mixed: no single training purpose dominates.

When you have a usable current goal, Kinni may show a Focus that reflects how useful the workout is for that goal. If Kinni does not have enough goal information, it falls back to the workout structure.
