Workouts overview

Build workouts around distance, speed, or elevation goals, then run them yourself or share them with the Kinni community.

Workouts turn your training ideas into guided treadmill sessions. Build a steady run, interval session, hill workout, or goal-based session once, then let Kinni guide the structure while you run.

A Kinni workout is made from blocks and splits. Each split can be built around targets such as distance, speed, or elevation, so you can plan exactly how the session should progress. When treadmill control is enabled and your treadmill supports it, Kinni can automatically adjust compatible speed and incline targets during the workout.

You can keep workouts private under My workouts, copy and customise workouts from the Workout Library, or share your best sessions back to the Library so other runners can benefit from your hard work.

A session is different: it is the completed run you record after following a workout or running freely.

  • Workout Library contains community workouts you can browse, favourite, customise, or run.
  • My workouts contains workouts you have created, copied, edited, saved, or published.
  • Training plans can also point you to the next workout in a plan.
  • Standard workouts use fixed blocks and splits for planned distance, speed, incline, duration, or elevation targets.
  • Dynamic workouts adapt some values from your goal or target speed.
  • Custom workouts are workouts you create, copy, edit, or save under My workouts. They can be standard or dynamic.
