how to
Run without a Bluetooth device
Use this guide when you want to record or follow a run without a connected treadmill, foot pod, or other Bluetooth device.
You can still use Kinni when you do not have a connected Bluetooth treadmill, foot pod, heart-rate monitor, or watch. The run will have less automatic device data, but Kinni can still help with timing, workout context, prompts, and session history.
What changes without a connected device
Section titled “What changes without a connected device”Without a connected treadmill or sensor, Kinni cannot automatically read every live treadmill metric. Depending on the run type, you may need to control speed and incline on the treadmill console and treat the session as a manual indoor run.
- Open Go Run or the workout you want to follow.
- Leave the treadmill, foot pod, heart-rate, or watch cards disconnected if you do not plan to use them.
- Start the run or workout flow that is available for your setup.
- Set speed and incline on the treadmill itself.
- Use Kinni for timing, prompts, and session context.
- After the run, review the session and check which data was recorded.
When a Bluetooth device is worth connecting
Section titled “When a Bluetooth device is worth connecting”Connect a treadmill, foot pod, heart-rate monitor, or watch when you need more complete live data, automatic speed or incline tracking, treadmill control, cadence, heart rate, or better post-run charts.
