FIT files overview
FIT files are portable workout files that Kinni can generate from completed sessions for export or upload.
A FIT file is a portable workout-data file. Kinni can generate one from a completed session so another app or service can read the run.
Where FIT files appear in Kinni
Section titled “Where FIT files appear in Kinni”- Manual export: create a FIT file from Session Detail and share it yourself.
- Strava upload: Kinni generates session data for the upload to Strava.
- TrainingPeaks upload: Kinni generates session data for the upload to TrainingPeaks.
What a FIT file can include
Section titled “What a FIT file can include”A FIT file can include core run data such as date, time, duration, distance, speed or pace, heart rate, cadence, elevation, and other recorded samples when they are available.
The exact contents depend on what Kinni recorded during the session. If the session is missing detailed records, the receiving app may show less detail.
FIT export versus cloud sync
Section titled “FIT export versus cloud sync”FIT export creates a file you can share outside Kinni. Kinni cloud sync is different: it keeps supported sessions, workouts, and goals connected with your Kinni account.
