how to
Export a session as a FIT file
Use Session Detail to create a FIT file, then share it with another app or service that accepts workout files.
Export a FIT file when you need a portable workout file from a completed Kinni session. This is useful for services that do not have a direct Kinni upload path, or when support asks you to check the session file.
- Open Sessions.
- Open the completed session.
- Open the session actions menu.
- Choose the FIT export action.
- Wait for Kinni to generate the file.
- Use Share to send the FIT file to another app, save it, or upload it elsewhere.
If a FIT file already exists for the session, Kinni can show file details and offer actions such as sharing or removing the generated file.
What to check afterwards
Section titled “What to check afterwards”Open the receiving app or service and confirm the imported activity has the expected date, duration, distance, and core metrics.
If the receiving app shows fewer details than Kinni, check the session source and whether the session has high-resolution records. Imported sessions can have less detail than sessions started directly from Kinni.
