Syncing data between apps
Use this reference when a run appears in one place but not another, or when you need to choose the right path for session data.
Kinni can move session data in more than one way. The right troubleshooting path depends on whether you mean Kinni cloud sync, a connected-app upload, health-platform sharing, or a manual FIT export.
Data paths
Section titled “Data paths”- Kinni cloud sync keeps supported Kinni data connected with your Kinni account.
- Strava and TrainingPeaks uploads send a completed session to a linked training service.
- Apple Health and Health Connect uploads send session data to the health platform when that connection is available.
- FIT export creates a portable file you can share manually.
If data is missing
Section titled “If data is missing”- Check where the original session was recorded.
- Check whether the destination account or health platform is connected.
- Check whether the session has completed and appears correctly in Kinni.
- Use the relevant upload, export, or sync action again if Kinni shows it is available.
- Refresh the destination app before assuming the transfer failed.
Good support details to include
Section titled “Good support details to include”For data questions, include your phone platform, Kinni app version, session date, destination service, and whether the issue is cloud sync, Strava, TrainingPeaks, Apple Health, Health Connect, or a FIT file.
